Why do we care so much about privacy? Well, the founder and most working here still remember well a time when privacy was inherent - when you didn't have to worry your every movement, hobby, or leisure wasn't being carefully hyper-analyzed in order to sell you more things, target you for political purposes, or worse. Humans have an inherent desire for privacy too. That's why curtains still exist, bathroom doors are still installed, and why intimacy is, well, intimate. There's no reason why strangers should know what you're doing, hear what you're saying, simply because you want to watch a show or play a game. There's no reason why something you purchased or own should do things without your permission, or be hindered by being stuffed with things you don't care about, or be controlled by anyone other than you.
